Logo Shoes That Fit
Can you imagine attending gym class with 2 left sneakers that do not fit? Or having to use one hand to hold up the borrowed trousers you're wearing so that they won’t fall down?

Shoes That Fit is a non-profit children's charity that began in 1992. We help schoolchildren in need by providing them with new shoes and clothing so they can attend school in comfort and with dignity. Our mission is to help build the self-esteem of schoolchildren in need by providing them with new shoes and clothing.

New clothing items that are appropriate for school help these children fit in, allowing them to concentrate on their studies and leave their circumstances behind them for the school day. Our hope is that this positive experience will help break the cycle of poverty for these youngsters, helping them reach their goals and live their dreams.

Our local chapter of Shoes That Fit has been in active existence for 10 years. We work with the school nurses and social workers at schools districts in Middletown, Pine Bush and Fallsburg. Last year we provided over 900 much needed items for children in these school districts.

Shoes That Fit operates exclusively on private donations — we receive no government funding.
